OK, so all the fun and excitement is over. My birthday is over, vacation is over...Now, there isn't much to look forward to for a while now.. Let's see. I'll just go in order of the days since I blogged last. Friday night, I worked 2nd shift so I didn't do anything. Saturday my family got together for my birthday, it was hot. But it was fun. I have a pretty small family and we get together pretty often, but its still fun. Here are the gifts that I got. I also got some money from my Uncle, but I didn't take a picture of that..We played in the pool, Owen had a good time splashing around, we played ladder ball, and then we had a DQ icecream cake (yummy).
The bell I got from my sister, its for my bike. It has a kitty on it with bones. Its so cool. The candles (6 of them) and the funny bag are from B/F's mom. Sunday, my actual birthday everyone was gone, so B/F and I hung out all day. We had Applebee's and watched the Twins game, then we went to Minneapolis to a record store called Fifth Element. It's a local record store run by a local record lable, and the artists work there, so its pretty cool. Then we went to a park on the river called Islands of Peace Park. Its pretty neat. Its on a bank on the Mississippi River and you zig zag down the bank to a flat part and then you can go down by the river, and since it had been SO dry, its very low and there are a few "islands" out in the river.. But it was pretty hot out, and it kind of stunk.. But I still like it there, and I had a good time. I don't have any pictures of that because it was not a planned stop, we were going to go in the morning but we decided that we didn't really feel like going. But later in the day we did. And I'm glad we did. On to the boring crap, Monday I worked all day, by myself. That was a rip. Last night, our power went out, we live in an old neighboorhood and our power rarely goes out, and it was like the whole town, it was strange. I hopped on my bike to see what the deal was, and it seemed like everyone was outside, talking and standing around in their driveways, watering the yards and stuff, waiting for the power to come back on, just like I was.. It was a pretty nice ride though. And this is what it looks like when the power goes out and you have to use a flashlight to call the power company..but you don't know you're having your picture taken and you move..
What else, OH- well my pumpkins are now singular, pumpkin. I have no clue what happened but I only have one. The other one looks like it just broke off at the roots.. SO that sucked. There are TWO fences around them (it) so its a mystery to me..but I was bummed but I just hope that the other one grows and gets some girl flowers so that I can have some pumpkins...I guess there isn't much else. I'm wating for my snake scarf kit, I'm not sure when I will get it. Welp, I gotta go. Stay cool!
