So, ya got something to say, Huh?

Well, its been awhile since my last post, but I can't remember HOW long. Not really a ton of stuff has been happening. It was super nice out this weekend so we (me. B/F, sister and BIL) went skating on Saturday. It was like 30 degrees or something. B/F and I went the whole two hours. It was pretty nice. My legs were pretty tired later on and then on Sunday but they didn't hurt, so I'm OK with that! Sunday was laundry day. But B/F came over and we watched TV and ordered a pizza. Later on I watched the All Star Game. The WILD had one player on the all star team and he scared a goal (whoo hoo), it will be back to regular play tomorrow.
The weather here has been crazy (as usual) yesterday it was up to 42 degrees and later on about 5:30pm it started to rain, but then today at 8am it was only 8 degrees (wow). Plus the wind chills are supposed to be like -40 degrees! There are two WILD hockey things tonight, but they are both at 5pm and I think I'm going to skip them, even though I want to go.. OH well!
Moving on, I am taking 2 days off this week and I have a short list of things that I want to get done. And here they are
1. I want to go through my clothes and get rid of the stuff that I'm not going to wear, doesn't fit, or I'm not going to use.
2. I want to get the printer hooked up to the laptop so that I can print! What a concept, HUH?
3. Get my room cleaned up (which is directly related to #1)
I guess that's all the things I want to get done. Its a short list but I know it will be time consuming.. and since I'm severely allergic to dust, even small amounts, I know that it will suck. Even if I wear a mask and run the air purifier...
Now for a new idea: I'd like to make my own underwear. Does that seem weird? I was just thinking about it the other day and underwear are expensive, and I don't buy new ones often enough (not I'm not running around with falling apart underwear) I just stock up on the ones I like (which isn't many). I'm pretty sure that they make patterns you can buy to make your awn, but I thought that I could just make my own pattern from a pair that I like. But I'd have to find material and I guess I could just walk in and be "What could I use to make underwear" but that would be kind of weird... I'll have to think about that idea for a while. Another thing I would like to learn is something called "The Magic Loop". It sound strange I'm sure, but it is a knitting technique.. And they have a class at the uptight yarn shop but it costs $45 for the class and I think you get a pattern but you have to buy your own materials and stuff.. I've decided that I'm going to buy a book first since I can learn pretty well from words and pictures, its almost easier for me than having someone show me, since all people do things a little differently. Hmm, I guess I don't really have anything else to write about. Hope ya'll had a great weekend and stuff :P

Just Wednesday..again..

Ahh, good old hump day. I wonder why they call it that..I guess I don't much care. Let's see, I'm trying to think of my last post and I can't remember a damn thing about it...Ok, so last post was boring. So I'll try and jazz it up a little bit. I see that someone stopped by my Cbox, however I have no idea who it is, but Thanks! Well, I am excited for this weekend because it is going to be in the 30's here and B/F and I are going to go ice skating. What sucks is that his little nephew who is 2 1/2 has strep throat.. How shitty is that. Well, B/F watches him during the week, and his parents just figured out that he has strep. B/F has never had strep (lucky duck) and so I'm hoping that he doesn't get it. Mainly because I don't want it, I've had it, it sucks. And I don't want any of my people to get it.

Moving on. My 1st place MN WILD lost to the Flames last night. Oh well. I haven't been doing jack shit lately. Last weekend it was COLD! So we didn't do much B/F and I went to Applebee's for dinner, which let me tell you was a giant rip off. It used to be that we could go out to eat for like 20 bucks but not anymore. It was $35 for 2 of us! And we didn't have any drinks or anything, a glass of pop is $2.29! Not that we go out to eat at those places that often so it wasn't a big deal, but it just bugs me, the quality gets worse, the food gets smaller, and the service gets worse but the price goes up..If someone could explain that to me, that would be awesome.

Let's see, I'm hoping (for real this time) to take a couple of days off next week. So then I can get some shit done (that's code for sitting around in my PJ's and sleeping on the couch). I'd like to get my room cleaned up and the photo printer hooked to the lap top and I have to finish Owen's pants before he is to big for them..I'm hoping to get that done this week though, all I have to do is put the elastic in, which would take about 10 minutes. And next week there is another Hockey Unplugged, and I'm hoping to go to that one too. Maybe the B/F will want to go.... Other than all that I guess I don't have anything else.. I'll try to get around to getting some pictures posted. Hope ya'll have a great day!

100 posts!

Happy 100 little blogger! Well, the Hockey Unplugged last night was OK. I guess I was mostly just bored. The B/F didn't go with me (big surprise there) because he wasn't feeling well. And I told him that next time, I wasn't going to ask him to go with me. So, too bad for him. This time it was in a bar and I just sat at the bar, i was lucky though because some guy who knew everyone there sat next to me and some of us around the bar just chatted. But I'm not really so into the talking to strangers..I mean I don't start up the conversations..But I'll talk if they talk. And the marketing girls that help run the stuff are so snotty, I wanted to just say "If all these people weren't here, you wouldn't have a damn job. SO how about you try not being a bitch". I worked at Target for 5+ years and people would be rude and ask stupid questions and all kinds of stuff but I don't ever remember being outright rude to them. I mean I'd tell others about them but never said anything to them. I just don't understand. I can be rude, but its usually when I'm really irritated and don't feel like dealing with people. If I had a cool job like working for the MN Wild and being part of all these events, I wouldn't be rude to people. Moving on..

I took some pictures but didn't get them on my flash drive so I can't post them.. I guess that's all I have. Happy Wednesday, tonight's bowling so hopefully I will have a good night and raise my average, my team has shot up to 3rd place (out of 10 teams). If we can stay there we'll get a trophy, I don't have one of those.

Yippee! Hockey Players!

Today is a good day. Tonight I am going to "Hockey Unplugged"! This one is in Minnetonka, I think I've been there 2 times in my life. I map-quested it and it doesn't look hard to get too. As of now B/F is going with me, we'll see what actually happens. Tonight it's these two guys.
Mikko Koivu

Branko Radivojevic

I'm hoping that we get there early enough and that its fun and the B/F goes with me. I feel like kind of a tool just sitting around with no one to talk to or anything. But I guess I could bring something to look at if he doesn't go. This time I am going to bring my camera and not bring my purse. Because last time I didn't bring the camera (wished I had the whole time) and I brought my stupid purse (trying to figure out why the whole time) so then I can have some pics to post, and this time I'm sitting closer than I did last time, and not in the middle. But it's at a restaurant/bar place so we could have something to eat or whatever.
Honestly, I don't really have anything else to post. Pretty bored today, I mean I have plenty of things I could be doing but really what's the point....If I don't get it done I'll just get an email asking me about it and then I will do it and no one will care :P Have a great day!

Lucky Number 98!

That's the year that I graduated from high school, 1998. Good year I guess. Anyways, I had a pretty uneventful weekend. We didn't go skating but we did go shopping. The one thing that I did do this weekend was got my hair cut. Now, normally this wouldn't even be anything worth mentioning but I got about 9 inches cut off and I am going to donate it. SO here are some pics of that whole thing.

The first one is me in the kitchen, notice the long hair. The second is me in the chair, and then the last one is after he hacked off my hair. I wasn't really scared or anything except when I realized the he didn't really know what he was supposed to do, but my Mom was there and thank God because I might not have any hair left if she wasn't. But its all ok..besides feeling totally naked. I will have her take a pic from the back so that ya'll can see how short it really is. I couldn't get a good one this morning.

I hid this whole event from everyone, and I was hoping for a big reaction from the B/F but he didn't really say anything. I was all "look, I got all my hair cut off" and all he said was "oh, you did" and that was it. What a big let down that was. I was just dying to tell him about it all week but didn't because I thought it would have more of an impact..guess I was wrong. This is the second time that I've got a lot cut off to be donated. The first time it was more like 11 inches.

It is very weird how hair becomes who you are. I had long red hair, you don't see that very often. Growing up I didn't know anyone else that had red hair, I didn't really appreciate it then. Because it made me different. I never hated it or anything. But as I grew older I realized how unique it was and I would get compliments and questions about it, most people wanted to know if it was my real hair color. Which it was. But now its short ( I say short but its shoulder length) and maybe I will keep it that way or let it grow for a few years, who knows. I guess the short hair makes me look younger, let's just say that wasn't really what I was going for. People often think I am a lot younger than I really am so I guess now they will think that I'm A LOT younger, lucky me....

But I also watched some hockey (big surprise) and my MN WILD won, again. Whoo HOo. Tomorrow night there is another "Hockey Unplugged" with one of my favorite guys, maybe I can talk the B/F into going since it's kinda far away. But maybe I will just go alone. I mean it's better than sitting around on my ass. I guess it isn't too far, just 27 miles (one way). I guess we'll see how I feel tomorrow. Welp, I should get to work, happy monday to you all!

Yeah, so I'm still here...

So, its Friday. And I am here- still feeling like shit. Yippee! And I have been really working this week. I really have no where to put any of my stuff since I have 1 flipper cabinet (standard cube issue) and 1 3 drawer roller.. So today my boss is gone and I just unloaded a bunch of stuff to his office. Hopefully, he won't even know and I won't have to take it back :) I do have pictures for you all today. These are the "canstruction" pictures I said I would post like 3 months ago or something. Please forgive the quality, and blame it on the Blackberry :P

SO the first one is a stadium made of cans, it really was pretty cool. The second one is a pumpkin with a cauldron (with flames) and that was my favorite. The last one is a bus, still pretty cool.

Now for the hockey talk! Last night my MN WILD played the Detroit Red Wings. The have only won 2 games against them out of like 15 or 16 (something like that) and they managed to get the lead in the 1st period and then it was back and forth after that. In the 3rd period Detroit scored on them with about 1 1/2 minutes left in the game. And I was all "ok come on guys, score a goal" and they did! They went in to OT tied at 5 and it stayed that way. So they had a shoot out, which I love and can't watch sometimes! But Josh Harding (who I met) blocked 2 of the shots and only let them get one goal in the S.O. But good 'ol Brian Rolston scored a goal, I think because he has a nasty slap-shot that people try to get out of the way. But then Marian Gaborik scored his first ever shoot out goal. Way to go Gabby!! I had to both look away and mute the TV during the S.O. I'm such a pansy! But I love me some hockey. Next week I will have something new and fun to post, so stay tuned for that.
This weekend should be a fun one, B/F and I might go out to eat tonight @ Buffalo Wild Wings, plus there is more hockey. Then we might go to the mall. And I think tomorrow night we are going skating again. It really is fun, even though he likes to play hockey, and I just skate alone, its still nice, he makes sure I'm all OK and we smile and stuff when I go past him. Hmm, I guess I don't have anything else worth typing. So hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Prepare to be bored...

Let's see..What's new huh? Not a whole lot. This weekend was kinda low key. B/F and I went skating on Saturday, it was like 35 degrees out so by about my 5th time around I was just plain HOT. B/F was playing on the hockey rink shooting the puck around and such and I was just skating around. Then we skated together for a while. It was nice, except I was over dressed. Oh well. I worked on Owen's fleece pants and managed to hose them up because I thought that I knew what was going on and I didn't think about what I was doing enough. So then I had to fix my mistake which I think took longer than for me to get them mostly all sewn up the right way... And I haven't really done anything else. Its a busy time (the only busy time) for me at work. So I'm trying to get that crap all done, but I've had a lingering headache for about 2 1/2 days , so basically I'm just feeling crappy. I'm thinking I might take Friday off and maybe we'd go skating or something. I'll have to check the weather. I guess I can't think of anything else, so I'm going to be done.. Sorry :)

Time waster??

Me? No way! I'd never waste time, especially at work, where I am here to do a job.. I've decided that in the interest of being caught up I'm going to work today. Try to hold back the gasps! I am a few weeks behind and I've had part of a day to get myself caught up and I didn't get very far. So besides the time it takes me to post and such I'm going to try and get caught up with some junk. No blurfing for me :( I know its sad, but I'll make it. I really do have a bunch of things to do but I managed to find the time to add something called a "Cbox" to my blog, I'll see how it goes and maybe it will be cool. Just one more user name and PW to remember. I have whole little notebook full of them. I'm going to start making them all the same. Like do I really care if some stranger signs into any one of the 1,000 things I've signed up for? No, not really!
Well, I don't have any huge plans for this weekend. I think B/F and I are going to go skating. The weather geeks say it is going to get up to 37 tomorrow so I think it will be fun, then I won't have to wear 3 layers of clothing.
I would just like to announce the fact that winter is dry and it sucks! Basically all of my skin is dry and it itches, not that anyone cares but I just had to get it out there!! I'm so glad for this weekend when there is going to be some moisture in the air. Ok, enough of that!
Other than skating I'm making a pair of fleece blue camo pants for Owen. I have so much fleece that I'm doing nothing with so I might as well make him something. I'll have to get around to putting the camera software on this computer so that I can put up some pictures. Hmm.. Well, the longer I draw this out, the less time I will have to work (yea) but I don't really have much else to write about. So I guess I will stop. Enjoy the new stuff, tell all your friends. Have a great weekend! Oh I almost forgot, my MN WILD kicked Dallas' ass last night, haha, that's payback baby!

Hockey Unplugged Recap!

So, the plan was for B/F and I to go to this deal..But he didn't want to go for whatever reason, so I went alone. I'll give you the break down
5:15 - Call the Mermaid and find out what the hell is going on, talk to this awesome guy who gave me all the info and where to go and how many people were there.
5:26 - Leave the house and drive like crazy to get there because they were up to 150 people!
5:30 something - Get there and park, go in, I'm number 164! Woo hoo!
5:30 something till 7pm- Sit around and people watch..and play this game and win something called a "coozie" which is like a can cooler but its for a bottle..It looks like a WILD jersey. I thought it was pretty cool. Plus, I called to talk to B/F and give him one more chance to join me, no luck. Oh well.
7-8 pm - Questions from the audience and host about different stuff, it was pretty funny.
Then after that I had to wait until my group of numbers was called to get in line for my autographs, these two guys were so nice and looked at you and smiled and talked, plus they were both cute, so that was even better!
So even though I had to go alone I had fun, but then I was tired when I came home. There is supposed to be another one coming up and maybe I'll go to that one too.
AND here is something very cool! I was trying to figure out if this "Hockey Unplugged" is on TV or the radio or something and on the second or third page of Google results, there was the little Craft Bot, because I put it in my labels, SO COOL! SO from now on I will be labeling all my posts with lots of labels, hehehe! Have a great Thursday!

Happy New Year!

Well, Happy New Year. I have no "resolutions" I think that's kind of dumb. Tonight I am going to meet a few WILD players. These two guys

They are the goalies. They are taping a show called "Hockey Unplugged". I'm even skipping bowling to go see them. Ironically, they are going to be at a bowling center for the taping of the show..Weird huh?
Let's see, my new years time off wasn't very exciting. Friday and Saturday I don't really remember doing anything..Oh, B/F and I went shopping and I bought a new WILD shirt and he bought me some WILD decals. And I hit up Target to check out the clearance crap (for the 2nd time). Sunday B/F and I went ice skating at a park kind of close to where we live. The weather wasn't bad it was about 18 degrees out. I did a lot better than I thought I would considering its been 10+ years since I skated last. Then on New Year's Eve B/F, sister and BIL and I went to the "Roseville Oval" for the New Year's skate. It was a lot of fun. I really didn't want to go but it was mostly my idea and everyone else wanted to go so I went. I even went out and bought some new snow type pants because my other ones are to tight and I can't wear enough under them to stay warm. They were OF COURSE toooo long so I had to do some quicky alterations, that was a joy! But it was cool, it cost $5 and you could skate for like 8 hours and they had a fire outside and prize drawings and all kinds of stuff. We stayed for a few hours, I think the guys could have stayed all night long. Then we went home and had some steaks and watched the hockey game ( they lost). Then I went to bed about 10pm. Yesterday B/F and I went to Wal-Mart and watched some hockey and then later on Mom and I went to Gander Mountain and Target (again) because I was bummed that when I went there before I didn't buy this plastic T-Ball set they had, I thought that Owen would like it..But they still had 2 left at 75% off and that was great because I bought one for Owen and one for B/F's nephew who is 2 1/2. And even if they both hate it they were only $1.49! I love clearance shopping! Then we went to Wendy's. We tried to go to Culver's but apparently they like their employees and were closed.
So, today I am back to stupid-ass work and its cold out (like in the negatives) but this weekend they say it's going to get up into the high 30's maybe even 40 (awesome) and B/F and I are going to go skating again. Which he is totally on board with because he loves it and he's pretty darn good at it, and it feels good to do things you are good at!
I'm pretty sad now though because we don't get a day off work until May, but I'm going to use my paid vacation and take some days off! hope everyone had a great and safe New Years!
