It's a GIRL!

Yippee!! Yippee! Well, I'm not talking babies here people. I'm talking pumpkins!! Here's my proof. That little nub at the bottom of the flower will soon be a pretty orange pumpkin- assuming the plant lives, and that end doesn't get eaten off...

Ok, what else, I have pics-o-plenty tonight. The only thing that sucks is that I have dial-up and it's slow tonight to to upload 1 pic takes a long time...The up side is that I can watch the TWINS while I'm waiting for the pictures to load..So here is my topic for the day. People who have stuffed animals in the back window of their cars. If you are one of these people please explain it to me. I don't understand this, and I think it is stupid. I see this crap pretty much everyday when I am leaving work. Now, I was going to drive around by work and capture this lovely sight..faded teddy bears and kitty cats. Beanie babies stacked on top of each other. But I got off work early for a change and wanted to come straight home, so I did. But I figured this would not be a hard thing to find and that I could just go up to the grocery store or Wal-Mart and it wouldn't be an issue. It was! This must not be something that people do in my town, otherwise they are to embarrassed to go out when people will see their 18 frogs, loving each other in the window.. SO I had to re-create just for the sake of my rant. But I will find some other cars with them in for real..These pictures aren't the best because it was like 8pm and there was alot of glare from the sky, but it makes my point. I put Elmo right in the middle to make sure that he was blocking my view..

And while driving around, probably looking like some kind of freak-a-zoid, I saw this dandy of a license plate! I wonder if it's an occupation or a name...Hopefully ya'll can see it ok, it says "POTMAN" it was parked outside of a restaurant and I didn't want to look like a total freak so I just stopped and took one pic, otherwise I would have gotten a better one.. da na na nananan dananan POTMAN (sung to the tune of Batman).

So was the post a let down? Or was it least somewhat interesting? It only took me 1 hour to do..because of the slow uploads. So, I guess that's all I have.. Oh, I started my snake scarf. it seems to be going pretty well so far, I hope that it turns out and doesn't look like crap.. that happens sometimes.. Have a great weekend!

* *Lucky number 51* *

Wow, I've posted 51 times already. Why, not write this yesterday on #50 you ask? Well, because I wasn't paying attention yesterday, that's why. What I have for you today is an experience in photo wonder. I hoped over to the Photo Challenge, since I'm a few weeks behind, this week was about some technique called Miksang, and I thought that I would try it out last night but I didn't know what the hell to do, so I heard some cops coming and they were down the street from my house, and I sat on the curb, and was just watching the cops and thinking about what I could take pictures of..Then I thought oh, I could take pictures of the cap lights, that might be cool, but by the time I was done dinking around with the camera settings, they had turned off their lights.. So then I thought I would try taking pictures of cars with a low speed on the camera..Here's what I got.

The one in the middle is an ambulance that went past, I got excited because I'd be able to take a picture of it. The other two are just cars that were going past. For some reason I just thought that it was kind of neat. This picture is of Dag, he was out by the street with me, he likes to help with all the various yard tasks (including taking pictures of cars..) so he followed me out there, and we were kind of jogging through the yard and so I took a picture of him, I think it looks weird, because he is sort of focused, but the ground is not, and just a side note, all that brown is the grass in my yard..Because its been so dry and my Mom could care less if the grass grows, then she doesn't have to mow, even though she has recently employed my B/F to do it.

So, I'm sad to say that I've got only male flowers on my pumpkins. They bloom and then they die right away, those pics that I posted yesterday I took at about 8:30am and by the time I got home from work at 4pm, they were all wilted and deady looking. I had two more this morning, and if they are dead when I get home, I'll know they are male. But I guess this is normal.. I'm just wanting there to be a pumpkin SO bad. In other veggie news, I have some peas..I think there are about 4 or 5, so thats cool. Mom cut some of her lettuce last weekend, but we haven't tried it yet. I don't have any beans yet but I'm hoping they aren't far behind. I waited a little long to start planting so they are all a little behind.
But I'm still hoping to have SO much stuff that I have to sell it on the street. Well, I should get to work since its almost lunch time and I like to have completed something before I go to lunch. I mean I DO have goals for myself, they aren't high, because then I always feel good because I've completed my work goals for the day, then I'm happy :P Have fun ya'll and wish my Twins luck because they've been losing, but I'm going to listen to them anyways. I am a true fan!

Pump, pump, pump, it up.

Any of you remember that? The shoes that you could pump up? And the commercial had a little jingle that went along with it and they'd sing it and show some guy pumpin' up his shoes. Well, you're in luck because this post will NOT be about some old ass shoes you could pump up! It's going to be more pictures. I can hear the cheers now!
These are the flowers on my pumpkins, I took it this morning, I was so excited when I looked out the window and saw them, the flowers are huge, maybe 3-4 inches wide. I don't know if they will turn into pumpkins or not though, its only the female flowers that get the fruit... What's that you say?? You want more cars too! Well, since you asked so nicely. Here they are..

Well, this car has tiny little tires, I would say they are donut sized. The kind you put on your car, not the kind you eat. The car also has hydraulics, or hydros. I didn't get to see them in action, I was kind of bummed about that. But it was still funny to look at.

I couldn't tell you what kind of car this is, I just know I took a picture of it. And it looks cool. I think its cool that all of these pictures were taken of moving cars (except the Beaumont) and they turned out so good, there are some that didn't and its too bad because they were cool, there was an electric blue Impala that I saw about 10 times and it finally went past me and I got it all in the frame and everything.. But it was just going to fast or I wasn't focusing properly, but I remember it in my mind and it was cool. Well, I guess I should get going, I do have real things to get done. So hope ya'll have a good day.

Too HOT Tuesday!

Holy, freaking hot batman. I think even he would let Gotham City burn if it was this HOT! Let's see, this weekend was also hot, and yesterday was too. Over the weekend I spent time in the garden and went to St. Paul to check out the old cars that were out for Back to The 50's weekend. We did it the free way and just parked along the road and watched them. Here are some of the cool cars that we saw. The red one is a corvette and it has the biggest back tires I've ever seen! You can't really see it in the pic, but when I took the pic I didn't know they were huge until it got up the road, but even though it isn't a great pic I like how its a vette and the flag is flying in the background..

I love old cars, any kind of old car, I mean if its all nice and shiny. Plus, I love the way they sound, new cars are SO quiet, there is no growl, no muscle under the hood. I'd make the noise, but you can't hear it anyways, so its kind of pointless. And I was only going to post a few but I like them so I'm going to post more.

And here are my little pumpkins, which are actually even bigger now, because I took these a few days ago. But I'm still so excited, if you look around the pic you'll see how weedy it is around them, that's why I spend so much time weeding... Well, I guess I should get to work. So I hope you've all enjoyed my pics. See ya later!

How does your garden grow?

Mine grows FAST! The first pic is of my pumpkins. Aren't they cute! I took that pic on Saturday, about a week after I started them, one of the seeds I soaked for most of the day and the other one I didn't because it was an after thought, I didn't think that they would grow. Let me tell you the story. Two years ago, the B/F and I went and bought a pumpkin. And I saved the seeds from it and I sort of followed some instructions on how to save the seeds, I washed them and then put them on some newspaper to dry (FOR TWO YEARS) then I pretty much forgot about them. And this year I was all "hey, I'm going to see if they will grow" and they did. So now back to the original story. They just popped out of the dirt, its been so hot and dry here and now they are working on the second set of leaves, I took pictures of them but they didn't look as good as I thought they did. So just picture them in the ground and bigger :)

This pretty little flower is a gazania (might be spelled wrong), my Mom really likes these little flowers, and we have never had a pink one, only orange and yellow, both of which are pretty. But I liked this on and thought that I would share it.
The cat, is not mine, its the neighbor's brother's cat, his name it Dagwood, I call him Dag. He only has a nub of a tail, and he meows a lot. But now his owner is gone, because they got into a fight about something, who knows. But the neighbor made him leave and he left the cats, one of which lived in our garage for like 3 days. I don't know where that one is, I think in the other garage. Dag is a helper, likes to follow you around the yard and talk to you. I was pretty sure he was going to jump in the car with me this morning. I feel bad for him though, because he's all alone and he's a good cat. So we feed him and leave water for him, and pet him till we figure out if his owner is coming back for them. I didn't really do very much this weekend, because it was like 90+ degrees and humid and just plain gross outside. Hung out, did laundry, and tried to stay inside until like 8pm when it started to cool off (barely) and I did go for a few short bike rides. Hopefully, my pumpkins will grow like crazy and then I can sell them along with my veggies. I know nothing about pumpkins and since these were farm pumpkins and I have no idea how big the get or how anything. I know that they are a vine, along the ground. That's all I know. So maybe I'll have to do a little searching so that I know what I'm getting myself into. Of course, I will keep you all updated on that. Well, I think that's all I have for today..
